Образование:

В 1992 г. окончила c отличием исторический факультет Поморского государственного университета (г. Архангельск). В 1994–1997 гг. обучалась в очной аспирантуре исторического факультета Санкт-Петербургского государственного университета. В 1998 г. защитила диссертацию на соискание ученой степени кандидата исторических наук по теме «Германия и проблема независимости Финляндии (1914–1918)», в 2006 г. — диссертацию на соискание ученой степени доктора исторических наук по теме «Швеция в германо-российском противостоянии в период Первой мировой войны».

Занимаемая должность и трудовая деятельность:

В 1999–2000 гг. — старший преподаватель, доцент кафедры политологии Балтийского государственного технического университета «Военмех».

С 2000 г. работает в Санкт-Петербургском государственном университете: 2000 г. — ассистент кафедры истории нового времени исторического факультета, 2001–2006 г. — доцент, с 2007 г. профессор кафедры европейских исследований факультета международных отношений СПбГУ. Заместитель заведующего кафедрой по научной работе.

C 2011 года — декан факультета международных отношений.

Член Российской Ассоциации историков Первой мировой войны, член Международного Общества исследователей Первой мировой войны.

Почетные звания и награды:

Лауреат премии СПбГУ «За педагогическое мастерство» (2009 г.); награждена Почетной грамотой Министерства Образования и Науки Российской Федерации «за многолетнюю плодотворную работу по развитию и совершенстованию учебного процесса, значительный вклад в дело подготовки высококвалифицированных специалистов»(2009 г.). В 2010 году за создание инновационной магистерской программы двойного диплома «Исследования Балтийских и Северных стран» совместно с университетом Тампере (Финляндия) была удостоена премии Правительства Санкт-Петербурга за выдающиеся достижения в области высшего и среднего профессионального образования в номинации «развитие инновационной деятельности в образовательном учреждении».

Лауреат общенациональных премий «Декан года – 2020», «Профессор года – 2020» Общероссийской общественной организации «Российское профессорское собрание»; награждена Почетной грамотой Администрации Президента РФ за заслуги в укреплении дружественных отношений между РФ и государствами- участниками Содружества Независимых государств (2020). 

Основные области научных интересов: история международных отношений в Балтийском регионе в XX — начале XXI вв., история Германии XX в., история Швеции XX в., история Финляндии, Великое княжество Финляндское в имперской политике России.
